Afrofusion superstar BNXN drops first solo single of the year “Phenomena”

Today, on Friday August 16th, Afro-fusion star Bnxn unveils his first solo single of the year, "Phenomena." This track is a summery blend of House and Afrobeats, produced by the chart-topping Malawian-South African producer Gemini Major. With lyrics that consistently resonate with fans across the globe, Bnxn unveils the raw authenticity of his life experiences through his music and melodies that overflow with emotion. Bnxn's successful first half of the year included several chart-topping singles from his joint tape with Ruger, titled ‘RnB’ as well as sharing the stage with Ruger during his performance at Afronation. True to his reputation as a hitmaker, the collaborative project ‘RnB’ is packed with singles poised to stand the test of time. Notably, the summer anthem "POE" and the sultry "Llashe" both reached the top 10 on the UK official Afrobeats charts.
Bnxn is one of Nigeria's premier songwriters, known for his string of No. 1 hits and chart-topping records. His songs, including "Mood" (with Wizkid), "Finesse" (with Pheelz), and "Gwagwalada" (with Kizz Daniel and Seyi Vibez), have dominated the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Song Charts, as well as the UK Afrobeats, Apple Music, and Spotify charts. He originally broke into the Top 40 of the Official UK charts with his single "Propeller," featuring UK rapper Dave and Jae5. Another hit, "Finesse," also made it into the Official UK charts, peaking at 52 and earning a spot on Barack Obama's playlist. Last year, Bnxn released his debut 15 track album, 'Sincerely, Benson', a deeply personal and honest project that made its mark on both the Billboard Heatseekers and World Albums Charts. The album's standout single, "Gwagwalada", amassed over 230 million streams and reached No. 47 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart and No.4 on the UK official Afrobeats chart.
Since being awarded the 2022 Headies Next Rated Artist, Bnxn has continued to rise, establishing himself as one of Nigeria’s most recognisable voices with success both domestically and internationally.
