Today - 10th January - Breakthrough Irish rapper Travy releases his highly anticipated debut solo project, ‘SPOOKY’. Lead singles ‘Forgive Me’, ‘Master Shifu’ and ‘FSSH’ established early chapters of the ‘SPOOKY’ chronicle, which completes the first era of Travy’s solo journey. The self-entitled project is inspired by an alias that Travy coined before music and aligns with the creative themes of the project reflected through its striking imagery shot by Sam Fallover. ‘SPOOKY’ confirms his status as one of the most exciting musicians to come out of Ireland with co-signs from the likes of KSI, Len, DJ Semtex, Sainte, Strandz, Tiffany Calver, Rejjie Snow, Maverick Sabre to name a few. Intending to take his motion far beyond his hometown, Travy’s recent groundwork includes standout performances on Balamii and On The Radar in recent months.

With a fusion of Irish rap, American club Hip-Hop and British Grime sitting at the core of Travy’s sonic, songs such as ‘I WANT A DAUGHTER’ and ‘ME & HER” best capture his signature style. Expanding into new sonic realms, Travy glides across Jersey-club-inspired banger ‘TYPICAL RAPPER’ alongside US Rapper zipbby!+*. Travy gets introspective on ‘CONVERSATIONS’, showcasing how willing he is to peel back the layers of his story before ‘TOXIC’, which outlines his overarching motive across a bouncy production. Closing the project, Travy is joined by fellow Irish rapper Elzzz on ‘RELOAD’ to re-ignite the formidable partnership that earned them No.1 and No.2 with their previous collaborative projects.

Travy’s father, a general in the Nigerian Army, relocated his family to Dublin in search of a better life, though he would stay behind to continue his military service in Nigeria. Feeling alienated from his home – physically, familially, and spiritually – Travy found solace in a relic from his childhood: his dad’s iPod Nano. Travy fondly remembers the moment he fell in love with rap music. Having run off with the iPod, he stumbled upon 50 Cent’s 2003 classic, Get Rich or Die Tryin. After becoming obsessed with 50’s storytelling, Travy knew he was destined for a career in hip hop. During his teens, he gained attention almost by accident, freestyling at parties and realising his potential. When Travy and Gliders collaborator Elzzz dropped ‘Full Circle in 2023 (which peaked at No.2 in The Irish OCC), the Dublin rising star began to take his rap career seriously. He and Elzzz upped the ante on their 2024 project ‘DOGHOUSE’.  Breakout single “Blockbuster” propelled Travy’s rise, earning him No.1 in the official Irish Charts. As Travy begins this next chapter in his thrilling journey, he has the chance to put a whole city and country on his back, and he doesn’t take that lightly. In Dublin, Travy has fostered a community of like-minded artists, a collective now known as Gliders, a multi-purpose collective that operates as a brand and lifestyle.

Travy has already completed culture-shaking groundwork by influencing the growing community in Dublin through his music, fashion, and creative endeavours. Continuing to push his creativity forward, Travy is also focused on exclusive merch lines that he’s designed himself, as well as moving the Gliders movement into new territories in 2025. With the music as his key driving force, Travy is flying the flag for the entire generation after him.
